Mr. José Isaías Macías (59 years old) had to go to the press to make clear he hadn’t won the lotto. It was a bad taste joke that some of his friends played on him.

This man’s first words were ‘if only I had won $1.000 playing lotto I would have bought a car to make my work easier but I haven’t win anything’.

He said he is scared since Friday afternoon. He was going home when a car stopped on his way and two guys appeared. One of them told him they needed to borrow him $5.000 from the lotto money because they knew he had won the lotto and he had a lot of money.

Mr. Macías told them he couldn’t give them the money because he hadn’t won the lotto and that the comments about him having a lot of money had been caused by some friends’ joke. He also told them he worked at the central market collecting garbage.

Finally he said he was very worried because that joke was endangering him and his family.
